Why Eight Mile Plains Homeowners Are Upgrading Their Screens
Queensland Police have issued repeated home security alerts for Eight Mile Plains, warning residents about break-ins where offenders forced open unlocked doors — and in some cases, removed flyscreens to get inside. It's a reminder that a standard insect screen isn't the same as a genuine security screen.
Every Prowler Proof screen we install is manufactured and tested to the Australian Standard for security screens (AS 5039:2023) and fixed with concealed, tamper-resistant screws, so it can't simply be popped out or unscrewed from the outside. If your current doors are original flyscreens or ageing aluminium security doors, an upgrade removes an easy opportunity for opportunistic offenders in the area.
Our Security Door Solutions for Your Eight Mile Plains Home
SECURITY DOORS AND SLIDING SECURITY DOORS
We offer the full range of Prowler Proof security screening products, from the premium ForceField, the sturdy Protec, through to the economical Diamond — suited to everything from established Eight Mile Plains houses to newer townhouse builds. There’s a security screen for every home and budget.
NON SECURITY SCREEN OPTIONS
Not every job needs a security screen. With more than a third of Eight Mile Plains households raising young families, our Guardian Fall Prevention window screens are a popular choice for upstairs bedrooms and living areas, alongside the Heritage range for a more traditional look and standard Insect screens.
HINGE WINDOW SECURITY SCREENS
The Prowler Proof hinge window security screen gives you a genuine emergency escape point, opens up living areas to Brisbane’s subtropical breeze, and makes cleaning easier — without compromising security.
SECURITY SCREEN REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE
Plenty of Eight Mile Plains homes are now 15–20+ years old, and it shows in tired rollers, sagging doors and worn flyscreen mesh. We service and repair existing screens — yours or another installer’s — and get them performing again.
