Security Doors Built for Every Street in Morningside
Walk from the high side of Wynnum Road down toward Norman Creek and you’ll pass three different eras of Morningside in about ten minutes: timber Queenslanders with deep verandahs, weatherboard workers’ cottages tucked behind them, and the newer townhouses and unit blocks that have gone up around the train station and the Cannon Hill border. Whatever era your home belongs to, the front door has the same job — it’s the first thing a visitor sees, and the last thing standing between your household and the street.
We fit security doors to match, not fight, the house they’re on. For character homes, that usually means a hinged door in a timber tone or heritage profile that sits comfortably against VJ boards and fretwork rather than looking bolted on. For the townhouses and low-maintenance builds closer to the station, it’s more often a slimline, contemporary frame that suits an aluminium facade. Either way, the security behind the door is the same: Prowler Proof’s ForceField, Protec and Diamond ranges, all fitted with a stainless steel mesh that stops an intruder without stopping the breeze — which matters on the corner blocks along Wynnum Road and Old Cleveland Road, where an open front door in summer is often the only air-conditioning a Queenslander needs.
Morningside’s mix of young families, downsizers and renovators means no two jobs look the same. A young family near Morningside State School wants a door that’s childproof and easy to lock in a hurry on the school run. A downsizer in one of the new units wants something low-maintenance that still meets strata requirements. A family restoring an original Queenslander wants a door that respects the character value they’ve just paid for. We measure, quote and fit for all three — as the same local team, start to finish.
