Bayside and coastal-adjacent Brisbane suburbs deal with salt air carried inland, which is harder on cheaper frames and mesh over time — for those homes we typically recommend Protec’s perforated aluminium, which has passed acetic acid salt spray corrosion testing. Further inland, ForceField’s 316 marine-grade stainless mesh is popular for its near-invisible look, and holds up well with normal maintenance.
